BEGINNING CLASSICAL SPANISH DANCE WITH CASTANETS
In-person at Madison Youth Arts Center
In this class, students will learn basic castanet technique, rhythms, and exercises, plus focus on adding castanets to Spanish classical dance combinations and choreography. Spanish classical orchestral or guitar music is typically used in class.

ADVANCED BEGINNING FLAMENCO DANCE - GARROTÍN ESCOBILLA
In-person at Madison Youth Arts Center
In this class, students will continue to build their knowledge of flamenco dance through more challenging technique exercises. Choreography and combinations for the garrotín escobilla (footwork section) with the sombrero Cordobés (Spanish hat) will also be taught.
Intro to Spanish dance required. Hats will be sold in class.

BEGINNING FLAMENCO DANCE - FANDANGOS DE HUELVA

This beginning-level flamenco dance class will focus on palmas (handclapping), marking patterns, footwork, arms & hands, and choreography for fandangos de Huelva.
